A libertarian friend of mine told me that North Koreans were forced to mourn the death of Kim Il-sung in 1994 under threat of death. I didn't believe it, and then he showed me this video. For what it's worth. I'm glad we don't (and aren't forced to) worship our political leaders to this extent here...

At any rate, this is one bizarre video clip.

Some argue that their sorrow was genuine because of how much they have been indoctrinated starting at an earlier age, and the constant propaganda has a massive psychological effect even on those "disbelievers". But it is possible, so I wouldn't dismiss it.
