3. I'm not complaining, but this story was the subject of

numerous threads, starting on the 24th. A DU search for Chabot will turn them up. You can read more about this on those threads.

Since this incident, Chabot has announced that cameras will be allowed at future town halls. I guess he found out that he can't do that.

Thanks for posting. It really seems as if they shouldn't be able to make up laws as they go like that. If he is going to confiscate cameras, he should be able to state which ordinance they were violating and cite them in writing with a warning. Due process and some sort of receipt for the confiscation of property. I hope the ACLU has a field day with this one!

11. They should send a lawyer or a judge into one of these and see what the cop does

when the guy says "I am a lawyer, here are my credentials, what YOU are doing is illegal under such and such law and if you don't take your hands off of me you will be sued!" Then see what he does.
