What the hell is going on in Austin? I thought it was the one LIBERAL place in Texas. Why would an uptight right-wing jerk like Leffingwell ever take the mayor's race there?

Does this guy really think that people are gonna start smoking dope just because of the way Reeferseed says his name?

The mayor had no reason to be this uptight about a non-issue.

And in any case, these meetings and that chamber belong to the PEOPLE of Austin...it isn't the mayor's private property.

16. He made up that name because he said that THC helped him

concentrate after returning from war with a head injury. His name is is Ronnie Gjemre. He has a pro pot agenda that he has been browbeating the council with for years. When business must be done and one person is constantly abusing the time used to be addressed by and for constituents to address the mayor and council, it must be, that after a warning, time to remove the harasser. Perhaps a suit by Ron Gjemre would be the best way to address his needs to legalize THC in his community. Disrupting community meetings then threatening to sue the mayor does not seem like an unselfish way to fight to better his community.

He doesn't seem to be a bad person and the Mayor could have played along again but it seemed to me that he pushed too hard at the wrong time in the wrong place.

We have a right to be heard.We should choose the best way to communicate.
This could go either way. I hope that each will give a little.
