Military Recruiters Invited To Jail Job Fair

NBC News4

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Both the Army and the Marines went to the Alexandria City Jail to pitch their case to soon-to-be-released inmates.

Jail officials invited the recruiters to the biannual job fair, News4's Jane Watrel reported.

With the military stretched thin, the military can accept ex-convicts into their ranks.

"The Army's having trouble filling numbers, so they're going anywhere," said veteran Sgt. Patrick Campbell. "They're even going to college spring breaks, sending recruiters in uniform down to Cabo San Lucas."

Campbell said standards for recruits have dropped.

2. Moral waivers allow violent exfelons to escape to the army
This also might explain the higer incidence of rape and murder of fellow soldiers!

7. Would be interesting to know.....what restrictions blackwater has NOW???
I know a lot of their employees are South Afrikaners...the right wing fascists that ruled the minorities there with a steel thumb; also Chileans, and other combatants from foreign armies. No surprise to me that we might have thugs and ex-felons ALREADY SERVING in places like blackwater. I don't know for a fact, but would be worth an investigation to answer those sorts of questions.

I was drafted in '69, was infantry in Nam, and THERE ARE men thirsty to kill. It's not a secret. What happens when they get out??? Well, you've got kill thirsty thugs on the outside in a culture chuck full of weapons. Go figure...

6. Someone thinking about the draft?

I am not american, so that is clear. But if the military have that type of problems, that the army recruitcenter have to get to prison to get new reqruits, then its maybee time to think about reinstate the DRAFT again isent it?. So the army get their "canon-fooder" they are needed.. If the war continue as it have been for the last 4 year, you cant find enought soldiers in prison when the rumor of what are going on are coming back soner or later...

I know that in "old times" the army of the world, often was reqruting inmates in prisions, becouse they was easy soldiers who can be expendable.. Verry expendable when it come to it... It is the case here?.. Inmates who maybe dosent have a famility who whant them, or friends who miss them?.. Who are just in the way for "the laws" anyway and then just can be expendable when it came to war...

What if you get rapes, murderes and violent people in the army?.. The last I want to se is a murderer with a M16 and a lot of ammunition...

If this is the case of the state of the Armed forces in the US, then you really know that the forces is bleeding dry... And I guess you wil never se some of the douthers and sons of prominent Republican Kongress and Senat been there... Just "the lower clases":..
The "canon fodder"

8. ahh, the draft logic, sorry but your "engelish"
is just fine. One problem though, we can't have those rich guys sons getting shot at. Their parents have spent way too much money keeping them safe and warm throughout their lives to lose them now/

Thank you, I know it is not the best, but I try... And yes the rich guys sons cant be shooting at can they?.. They are the "next generation of the republican party" and have to be protected at all cost.. Even that it mean that the not to do well are been sendt out to war, to me maimed or killed by the enemy.. Better the "other" than them I guess...

But I guess thing is going werry bad, when they are sending reqruits to the prision to get reqruits to the war.. That is something you cant hide when you are putting criminals in the armed forces... Everyone army in the modern world who had doing that, are living to regret that... Or they are using the criminals to doing the hardes work in the army...

Hm, Charter on BBC World tonight, Have to see it. He are beein old, but alså beein more outspoken and maybe more tuff then he was president. I was born when he was elected president (1976)..
