Hitler talking in his everyday voice to Finnish military commander Mannerheim in 1942. The only existing recording of Hitlers normal voice.

1. Even more fascinating for the perspective on a key part of WWII
than the voice IMHO.

Hitler seems to reduce the wars to numbers and weather -- so many tons of oil, so many Russian divisions, 6 weeks for France, 60,000 laborers working 24/7, etc. He seems part strategist and part accountant in this clip. Also seem that Hitler and Molotov both knew exactly where the tipping point was, eg. when Germany was over-extended.
.
.
.

(..and he is far more calm here than when he learned of Michael Jackson's death or when he learned that there is no camera in the iPod Touch. And thankfully the Finnish did not need Steiner to finish their sentences for them.)

2. The German actor who did Hitler in Downfall studied this recording
Yes the oil thing was interesting and the timings of his attacks on the west and east.
Interesting historical piece

4. Minor correction: It was a Swiss actor, Bruno Ganz, who played Hitler
of Bruno Ganz

Coming soon: a Downfall parody in which Hitler gets the news that people on DU don't know his background.

So get info in and comments have been hard. My neighbor loaned me an old keyboard today

Yes you are right he is swiss. The movie gets a very high rating on Imbd.

I thought this OP was important for a lot of DU history buffs and historians.
I thought it was fascinating.

3. Oh lord! Or even when SoE made the changes to Star Wars Galaxies
before he could EBay his Jedi off. He blew up at that one.

6. Haha, good ol' NGE.
It is interesting to hear Hitler in this video though, but I just imagine him nodding off when that one guy keeps babbling on about his experiences in WWI.
