A Republican strategist says that the radical right-wing Tea Party is 'kryptonite' to Latino voters. On the other hand the Latino community is disappointed in president Obama for his record pace of deportation and the fact that he hasn't really pushed for immigration reform.

2. My Hispanic family has been very disappointed in Obama.

With the exception of one very vocal Republican, we all voted lock-step for him. But, in 2012, if he's the candidate, we'll be surging to the polls, tugging along all our newly minted over 18 year olds to press the lever/button for him. And it'll be because of the backlash we feel toward the teabaggers and their racist policies. Obama may be a milquetoast, but he's better than the brown shirts. And he's done a bit more than we give him credit for in challenging Arizona in Federal courts over SB 1070. In my generation and my parents', we've all been Hispanics, and in the younger generation, it's a multi-ethnic stew that's also going to be the make-up of tomorrow. But we're all a teabagger's nightmare, and we vote.
