And that just about wraps it up.

1. Who is arguing this?
I know of very few that would argue that a gun is not much more lethal then a sword. Clearly a gun is far better at killing then a sword.

The only times I have ever heard anything close to the contrary are those arguing against gun control laws on the idea that one can kill with many thinsg that are nto guns. But I think even they understand what a shaky argument that is.

2. Many have argued that firearms ownership is unnecessary, and.
that there is no good reason to own a firearm. This clip illustrates one reason I own firearms.

5. So, you are concerned someone with a sword is after you?

9. Thank you for your professional analysis of my
thinking. You've saved me $100 over a visit to the shrink, no doubt...

3. I once read an article on the shooting of this scene...
Harrison Ford wasn't feeling very well that day (flu?). The decision was made to go ahead and try for a take. They did it and realized Ford's sickly, fatigued status actually added to the scene, giving him that now-famous response.

In fact, if I'm not mistaken, it was the last scene shot...

4. There's actually a funny story behind that clip.
Originally, they had planned for that to be a massive action sequence, with Indy getting into a long extended fight with the black-clad swordsman. But when it came time to film it, Harrison Ford was sick as a dog that day--he and many of the other actors and crewers had come down with dysentery. Ford was sick enough that he was only do one take at a time, making the scripted scene impossible. That being the case, Ford suggested to Spielberg that he could do it in one take if he could "just shoot the fucker."

8. An armed society is a polite society.
