3. Bandwagoning is a logical fallacy.
What exactly has been done? To save you time there are lots of web-sites that list the great leaders accomplishments from A to Z. I have my own list: Thanks to Obama the recession is over. People are going back to work. Universal health care exists for everyone. Spending on R&D and infrastructure repair are going apace. Tax subsidies have been expanded for green energy entrepreneurs. The poverty rate has declined. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are over. The Patriot Act surveillance state has been dismantled. The military budget has been slashed. Criminal banksters have been indicted for fraud. The Bushco gang is in jail for war crimes. Labor rights have been expanded. Public education has been removed from the tender mercies of hedge funds and tax-exempt billionaire foundations. Oil and gas exploration in the Arctic have been halted. Deep water drilling in the Gulf has been stopped. Citizens United v. FEC has been overturned. Shale fracking for natural gas has been suspended and the Bush tax cuts have expired. Yep. the Prez has sure got a lot done. Hasn't he? And he's done it all with bi-partisan support.:yourock:

8. Rather succinctly put...
But accurate. These were - and are - the goals. Not all of them, but major ones. It's also the Lincoln "fool the people" paradigm, modified: Even if all of the goals have not been ment 100%, have any of the goals been met 100%? How much of any goal has been met?

15. Well he got a lot done for the cons but for
Dems and the American people, not so much. In fact next to nothing. If he was in the private sector and performed like this he would be tossed out on his incompetent ass.

6. Well here is where I stand today.
I don't hate nor am I mad at Obama. But, if there is a viable primary challenge say from Al Gore or Hillary, I will vote for them in the primary. It isn't a vote against Obama as much as it is a message to move back to the left and stay off that freaking yellow line, the middle of the road is a dangerous place. If either Gore or Clinton win the primary I will vote for them in the general election. If Obama wins I will vote for him with the knowledge that he got the message.

16. MIddle of the road?
Obama would have to make a sharp left and hike for many days for the middle of the road to even be in sight. Obama is more conservative then Ronald Reagan....and hew has done more to push the conservative agenda then commander bunnypants did.

10. To think anything will really change in 2012 is to be deluded...
The fact is our government is private property and every now and then it's owners throw an auction. An auction where the little kids get to pretend to play along with the adults but they can't really break anything.

Hillary, Al, Joe... blah, blah, blah. They get to wear the uniform but they all take orders from the same commanders.

The following must happen before we can "hope" to see "change".

1. Publicly fund elections

2. Eliminate corporate personhood

3. Initiate instant runoff voting (or comparable method)

4. Eliminate the electoral college

5. Ban exiting public officials from accepting lobbyist positions

6. Oversight of the Federal Reserve

7. Tax reformation (clarifying tax code, increase ease of compliance)

8. Budget reformation

TO DO THIS:

9. Start citizen initiatives in all states that allow initiatives

10. Lobby city state and county government

11. Conduct and Manage Orchestrated Simultaneous acts of civil disobedience

While no one has all the answers, until and unless these changes are implemented we will only get more fraud.

12. You nailed it
especially item #1.

Otherwise the "public office" will continue to go to the highest bidder, and the office holder will continue to be a stooge for his corporate sponsors.
