Is a new anti-Obama ad racist or 'racialist'? Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian and other Young Turks discuss.

I thought it clearly WAS at the very least 'racialist'. The music, the design of the characters, Michelle Obama's voice...I disagree with Cenk (and Jayar/Jesus) on this one.

i'm also not buying the "it's not our ad" argument. It is their ad. Same with ads on DU, whether it's from Google ads or whatever.

4. to clarify, those types of ads target videos by subject

because TYT is a political talk show, and DU is a political message board, and both mention Obama frequently, these ads would target these sites via Google Ads.

now i'm not so sure. I went to that video site. Their other stuff doesn't have any racism as far as i can see, so maybe it's just a misunderstanding. Poor judgement, maybe. what do you think?

7. Their defense is questionable

they used the Obama voices in the context of presenting a children's book.

I think it was clearly "racialist", flat-out racist is a stronger charge.
