Thom Hartmann & Peter Ferrara have a rumble on the debt ceiling.

Ferrara is a libertarian advocate and general counsel of the American Civil Rights Union (TheACRU.org) and author of America's Ticking Bankruptcy Bomb. Once again Ferrara makes a darned fool of himself and goes crazy at 3:15 when he tells TH to "open your mind and pay attention to what's going on in the real world" and even keeps running his mouth when TH asks a question and even sinks to "You don't know what you're talking about!" And you gotta listen to how he said "the poor were better off" at 3:40 in arguing that welfare reform benefited the poor. After TH pointed out that the tech bubble of 1997 was a factor, PF (3:48) can't say anything other than, "You don't know what you're talking about. Shut up and let me explain it to you!" At 4:47, the producers turned down PF's line because he couldn't stop promoting his new book rather than discuss the debt ceiling.

If you don't feel like listening to a shouting match, just skip to the 4:50 mark for the real conversation about poverty. At 6:15, TH asked him to name one insurance company that operates on a 3% overhead. PF blatantly said "I have no idea." And after TH pointed out (7:35) that PF lied by saying ObamaCare cut Medicare (it really cut only Medicare Advantage, a private program), PF complained: "I've heard everything you had to say since I was a teenager...You need to hear what I have to say..." (PF was born in 1955, so he was a teenager from the end of the LBJ administration until the Nixon administration...both presidents were influential in public health care.)

PF was acting like he was high on coke like Charlie Sheen in the first 5 minutes of this interview. It's hard to believe he got a law degree from Harvard that way.
