1. You don't get it, do you?
Balanced from Ronald Reagan on the far right to Bill Clinton on the right. Why don't you do like that Communist dupe Eisenhower and raise the top tax rate back up to 91% and get the corporations to provide 35% of government revenue? Seems like the economy wasn't doing too bad when he was in charge.

4. Mr. O's excuse for .....
Edited on Sat Jul-23-11 11:49 AM by JJW
disaster capitalism.

Mr. O had a choice last December..... do nothing and Bush tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires would expire. Instead he chose to extend the trickle down failure while 20% of Americans can't obtain employment.

If these tax cuts created jobs, wtf happened?

5. I'm beginning to believe that Obama is
the wrong person to be in charge during these desperate times the country is facing. His governing style would have been perfect for the 90's but it doesn't work in this post Bush era.

6. Obama's original premise is wrong: At least one group of
Americans is not responsible for the debt: the anti-war activists.

We on DU have been pointing out that we as a nation can no longer afford to have an empire.

We just don't produce enough.

We on DU have argued that we cannot afford our free trade policies.

We were arguing for saving on the real waste long before the Republicans and the righties in the Democratic Party started talking about cuts.

And Obama is wrong to target programs that keep Americans alive.

We have to cut our military costs. We have to reduce our military involvement overseas.

We have to rebuild our industrial base.

That means ending our free trade agreements and returning to a rational policy that taxes imports and services that have been outsourced.

Until we do these basic things, we will just be chasing our own economic tail down a descending spiral into disaster.

Obama needs a challenger. Obama is on the wrong track.

7. I believe Grayson is that man.
It does not take a lot of delving to find Grayson is an FDR Democrat and judging from recent moves I believe he is open to a run.
