Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business’s Follow the Money with host Eric Bolling to discuss the importance of unions, and why corporate America should be prepared for massive uprisings if they continue their assault on America’s workforce.

1. Well, now...
Edited on Mon Jun-20-11 01:03 PM by chervilant
how's that "new jobs" deal going now, Mr. Obama? What about all those VETERAN TEACHERS your SecEd has helped RIF and replace with TFAers?!

Those of us who have been un- or under-employed for the past two-three years really have very little more to lose, except our lives. A great many of us will be in Freedom Plaza this October, and there we'll remain until we prise the greedy fingers of the corporate megalomaniacs from around our nation's throat.

2. I wish Mike was right but sometimes I feel like I'm the only one
who wants to take it to the streets!

I hear crickets chirping too often.

4. historically
uprisings don't happen unless people are dying, as in starving or illegal wars(Viet Nam is a good example) that is why there is no draft and MacDonalds has a dollar menu.

3. The whole spectacle from left tor right is getting sadder and more depressing!
There is little or nothing left to hang to when the ones you had believed to be on your side turn on you and count you as dispensable in their political quest to game the system and garner personal benefits just like the ones on the other side. Each side using deceptive high-and-mighty cliches to fool their lay supporters.

Why will the powerless people nurse anger when they know the high-and-mighty have made all sorts of laws to accrue untold powers, the courts and security apparatus have all been compromised and the system is in place to make sure the low-and-powerless stay in docile or suffer disproportionately heavy penalties?

I have my strong doubt that the powerless people will wise up anytime soon.

5. A couple of years ago I saw a program on PBS about the disparity between workers & CEOs
They were focusing on a labor dispute where the workers were having to give up their health benefits while the CEO was making 400 times what the factory workers did. the company? Boeing.
