If Tancredo is OK with Bin Laden's execution yet feels Obama is an even GREATER threat than Bin Laden then I think it's safe to assume that Tancredo would find it acceptable. Martin is just correctly pointing out the hypocrisy. It was fun to watch Tancredo squirm.

23. Goodness, Tommy sounds quite defensive and a bit over

the top. First of all, I've listened to Obama speak on a number of issues and never heard it say the things Tommy is accusing him of, like fundamentally changing the country or disliking the Constitution. If anything, I'd say it's the other way around. The GOP is doing precisely what Tommy accuses Obama of. Take a look at the states w/Republican governors or look at what going on in the House of Rep. Tancredo is a creep who's totally out of line. To make the assertion that Bush would have been largely criticized if he'd ordered a targeted assassination is ridiculous. Obviously, there would have been some critics, just like some on the far left are criticizing Obama for not taking him alive. But to suggest Bush would have been raked over the coals is absurd.

The only way guys like this can succeed (e.g., move to daytime hate radio) is to be nastier than anyone has the right to be. His "audition tape" on MSNBC ably demonstrates that he is well qualified. We have a guy here in Washington, DC who, by twisting the truth and playing on people's hatred of blacks and foreigners (especially the "number one black foreigner," Obama), has succeeded dramatically using this "formula." His name is Chris Plante and he is on WMAL right before Rush (what a time slot). I call it radio where you must listen to 40 minutes of commercials to get his 12 minutes of hate (the other 8 minutes is for "news" on the hour and half hour). I love how they twist stuff up and advertise things no one needs like virtual physicals and tax help for listeners with $10,000 or more in tax deliquencies. What a joke.

MSNBC, just like all the other networks, needs to have some on the ideological far right in order to maintain it's ratings. Pure and simple. But I did appreciate Bashir taking Tom's wacked statement, applying his own twisted logic and shoving it up his uber right backside.
