Google sponsored a terrific ad last night on GLEE using the "It Gets Better" project. Here's hoping that one kid who needed to see this so they wouldn't kill themselves did.

3. I think that's true for anyone who has ever been bullied
I dealt with bullies when I was in high school. I don't know how I survived but I do know this much - High school is a bitch and it does get better after you graduate.

6. thank you
I'm a little annoyed with this whole 'gay bullying' thing because it's not something limited to people who are gay (although it has been on the increase). Kids will be cruel to anyone they perceive as different. I was a tall kid, who was a bit too smart for her own good and was very pale white skin. Lack of any minorites in our school I became a target.

Bully should not happen - end of discussion.

7. The reality of it is that kids will bully about any difference, the lack of support
from the adult community (or their own bullying towards GLBT kids) is where most of the damage is done IMHO. It's still the last "socially acceptable" form of bigotry out there.

8. This was just shown during American Idol.
I wasn't paying much attention (background noise), caught half, youtubed it, tried to post... it was already here!

What a wonderful commercial... gave me the chills. Groundbreaking, really.
