1. Is he talking about the state or the band?
I mean, just because they haven't had a real hit since "The Closer You Get..."

2. Ha! I KNEW someone would play the God card
If not Beck, then Robertson, or F. Graham, or some other member of the God Squad.

It's the WEATHER, people, not the wrath of Allah. Blame man-made global warming (or bad luck, if
you are a denier), or the Great Pumpkin, but spare us the "you have sinned, therefore...." routine.

Just this once. OK?

5. You don't have to be a denier to say global climate change
didn't have an impact on those storms. This is a La Nina year and that has always meant stronger then normal storms and heavy rain. This has been going back centuries. Its possible climate change did effect the storms but its also very possible they would have been just as bad with or without climate change.

3. I wonder how long it would be for the "God's Angry" crowd to emerge from their cesspool.
Although, I'm not surprised it was Glenn Beck, I really thought it would be Pat Robertson...

6. Why would "God" be mad at ultra-red Alabama?
Shouldn't all the blue states be hip deep in tornadoes?

10. As a father in Huntsville who has been in the dark...
Glenn Beck can kiss my ass. This has nothing to do with any god. He just flaps his mouth. The devastation out here is real. So many people are dead. Ive seen the leveled homes firsthand. Those people had no chance. There were no safe rooms. There are driveways leading up to empty lots. All we have here is the radio and very unreliable cell service. I heard on the radio Glenn Beck said we should just tell him what we need and he would make sure it gets here. I know what he is getting at. FEMA is capable. The state is capable. President Obama has been appropriately responding. The response is tremendous and government is working. I know Becks Ilk will look to any opportunity to say it isn't working. If Beck really wants to help tell him to get his feet on the ground. He's just a big talker.

We likely won't have electricity until next week. I am able to get DU up on my cell every now and then but it is very intermittent and slow. I'm definitely feeling a bit of withdrawal. Hopefully things will be better next week. We are cooking everything we have on the grill today and the weather is beautiful. Have a good weekend guys!

11. I'm sorry for all of the devastation
you guys are dealing with.I hope relief comes soon and this doesn't turn into a Katrina situation (hopefully the R governors won't use this as an opportunity to turn away big government money) If there is a God maybe he could do us all a favor and strike Beck with lightning.

12. Btw... Everything I said still stands but...
Now that I have managed to watch the video... Beck didn't say that about AL. That is old video and he was talking about Japan. That doesn't make it better but we deal with facts on this side of the spectrum.

13. Someone always goes there
Either Pat Robertson or Glenn Beck or someone like that. Theres always gotta be someone blaming natural disasters on God's wrath.

14. When did Beck get a job as God's prophet and spokeman on earth?
I didn't see the announcement. That guy is very weird. What did the people of Alabama do according to him to incur divine wrath?

It does seem as if Beck's god could learn to control weather patterns if he wants to be worshiped as the primary sky god.
