edit: Wrote and called Pence. Thank God I don't live in his district but I do live in Indiana. I also contacted my congressman Pete Visclosky. I told Pence, among other things, that he is a member of what I regard as the American Taliban with his amendment to defund Planned Parenthood. He's about as pompous as they come.

9. The REAL reason for the Government shutdown

The real reason the Republicans want to shut down the Government, It's not because of the numbers the numbers agreed upon the democrats gave 75% of budget cuts to the Republicans and they accepted the amount but, they wanted more. It is "Planned parenthood" they want. The republicans want to stop planned parenthood stop breast exams cervical cancer screening and abortions.

What the hell are the Republicans thinking targeting women they know that Tax dollars or even government funds are illegal a bill was passed some time ago stating no federal funds will be granted for abortions.
This leads only to their religious views of pro life issues.

They shut down the United States Government for Religious views.
This will only open the door for further arguments down the line for medical needs such as breast exams, cancer screenings ect... Religion is one item that needs to stay out of Government, their beliefs are not the belief of millions of others in this nation and running a government based on a religious belief is unconstitutional.

It is a mockery of religion to everyone who lives in the great nation and freedom of religion is a personal right to each and every individual in this nation not a Government run organization or forced religion. Separation of church and state must be kept, not one in the same. Not a Government nor church shall force their religion on any American or even non American in this country.

The Republicans know federal funds will not be spent on abortions and they know it's LAW so what are they doing this for it is hurting millions of folks who need their social security checks, pay checks, Medicare checks the life source that millions of people depend on.

The Republicans are under the wing of evangelicals and can care less about the rest of the citizens of this great nation. The Republicans have finally lost their stupid religious minds.

5. If the Democrats had done their jobs,

the budget would have been done last year. And it would have been the budget that the Democrats wanted because they had total control of Congress and the White House. Whose idea was it to wait until the Republicans had control?? Where was Pelosi, Reid, Obama?? No excuses, no room to point the finger of blame at anyone but themselves.
