Rep. Nathan Cooper of Cape Girardeau has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of fraud and faces up to 15 years in prison.

This is hilarious.

1. He looked so sad
when I rode down the KATY trail with him and Rod Jetton on the notorious 'fitness challenge.' I wonder if he knew back then that he was going down?

He seemed so clean cut... but then, they all did, except Rep. Hunter, whose trail of sleaze served to repel mustelids. These people really do think of themselves and sold themselves to the miami crash helmet crowds in Treloar and Hermann as the good guys. I wonder how they feel now, when they look at themselves in the mirror?

Coop and friends wanted to bring a new era of morality to Jeff City. He still can, through good works within the prison ministry program.

Term limits, passed by the Republics, paradoxically made the need for massive corruption greater, because they had to make their big score and scoot. Also, by removing the institutional memory of the state government, it makes the power of amoral lobbyists, who have no responsibility to the citizens of Missouri too great, and oversight has never been a Republic party strong suit.

I wonder if the Concerned Women of Mo are concerned about this? Probably not. The truth is, you can be covered in crap and still be God's little warriors, jowl deep in the trough, if you cover the reek of hypocrisy with enough polyester and piety. Oh, and bash the liberals enough while claiming that destroying the Medicaid program helped the disabled of Missouri.

I will say it again. Coop looked like one of the true believers. Makes you wonder even harder about the rest. Time for some shock and awe on High St.

I hope Mel Carnahan and his son can see this from the afterlife. After seeing what Blunt and crew have done to their state, they need a good laugh.

2. Term limits have had a very negative impact on Jeff City
It's really a shame.
