43. Dems will only win if Obama strongly supports the unions and
gets rid of the bankers in his cabinet and office.

Bankers are the enemies of unions. Bankers are the enemies of farmers. Bankers are the enemies of workers.

And Obama is surrounded by bankers.

66. Unfortunately, he never got the House back
This allowed the House, led by forerunners of the teabaggers like Dick Armey and Tom Delay, to vote to impeach.

Will Obama be able to do better? He hardly seems interested in being president now, let alone fighting for what we thought we voted for.

Tom Hartmann program reported that recall petitions have started, pertaining to the assembly and senate repukes. Gov. cannot be recalled until next year.

Where are the unions in the other anti-union controlled states?

have overplayed their hand, and made it public to America their disdain for labor, and that will have consequences in the political landscape

The credit for this exposure goes entirely to labor and the people who are exposing it

17. Anti-union people won't care until this affects them. And it will eventually.
I live in the biggest anti-union area imaginable. Granted, unions aren't perfect, but they've improved the standard of living for many people and are the biggest reason why this country had such a vibrant middle class. The non-union employers had to improve their wages and benefits to compete with unionized employers. If the public employees lose their right to collectively bargain in Wisconsin and other states, the non-union workers will eventually feel it.

Many non-union people are standing with the protestors in WI. They understand quite well, and many of them would be union if they could.

49. Non Union isn't anti-Union, and I hear this a lot, but you forget one point:
Some 'non union' people work in an industry that isn't unionized at all, so what phantom union are these companies competing against that gains me "The non-union employers had to improve their wages and benefits to compete with unionized employers."

Are you suggesting employers in, say, IT or Software Development improved wages to compete with industries that are unionized?

63. You are so right!
Where I work there are both union and non union employees. The non union employees were always very interested in what benefits the union got because the company would always improve their benefits to match. They were always secretly rooting for the union.

when these voting computers first began coming in --

and journalists began to investigate the unlikely results --

all unverifiable -- !!

Finally they've had to change even the "predictions" in order to hide the steals!!

How dumb are we?

A nation that still doesn't understand we have had stolen elections for decades?

:eyes:

See: Votescam -- The Stealing of America

by two Florida journalists who began investigating the odd results of their elections
in the late 1960's -- unverifiable results -- and wrote a book about it --

I don't know anything. Except that you should be able to get into the computer and see what the hell it's doing, or find another way to do it.

because they were frustrated with the economy and thought the Pukes were going to create jobs, jobs, jobs. Same shit happened in Maine and many other places. Well, there is another election in 2012. Maybe next time they'll have learned.

74. Try actually reading the post --
We've had computer voting since late 1960's --

try looking at the link -- !!

Meanwhile ...

You're talking about 2010 -- ?

For every $1 Dems got from corps -- Repugs got $7 --

you don't think that effected the election?

Had Obama not trampled single payer/MEDICARE FOR ALL in private deals with

Big Pharma and private h/c industry -- Dems would have been set for next 40 years!!

That Obama made deals with these private businesses at the expense of citizens

turned many voters off -- obviously.

Rather, Obama preferred to see it as a new need to move further to the right!!

I kinda wonder if this is how the Roman empire looked as it started to crack before the collapse.

We have school systems collapsing in Detroit and a middle class that is becoming non existent.

The elections in 2012 are looking like they will be the defining election for years to come.

We can only hope the Democratic base finally will put repubs in a minority for a long time.

Isn't it a shame the Chief Democrat in the WH won't walk with, talk with or even recognize that these working Americans need his support, now. Though he will expect them to support him with money and free labor a year from now.
There is the real Shame. And I doubt that the WH has anything to offer by way of a "kiss and make up" that will match the level of the betrayal.

I doubt anyone expects the Repobaggers to have shame any more. They chose to sell their souls.

70. I hope American workers and middle class are prepared to keep this fight up
over the long haul, because I guarantee the rich will fight to the death to protect their wealth. Seriously, this fight has only just begun. It's time for the middle class to take to the streets in large numbers and let our voices be heard. If we back down now, we're screwed. If the unions go down, we'll be on our own, whether your a union worker or not.

75. 20 seconds
The part that this video doesn't catch is where the Republicans opened the measure for vote...and closed it 20 seconds later. Naturally all "in favor" got their votes in (almost as if they knew in advance and were ready for it, just sayin') whereas plenty of legislators who were still contesting the sudden opening of the vote never even got their votes in.
