Colbert did an outstanding job of explaining and exposing the essence of this story - how powerful organizations conspiring with corrupt intelligence contractors threaten our freedom.

The casual, cavalier way HBGary proposed silencing Wikileaks supporters and Chamber of Commerce critics indicates such plans are commonplace between corrupt intelligence contractors and powerful organizations. These contractors can operate with impunity, acting as as a sort of secret police serving private interests.
