This is just step #1.

Now we have the clearest possible record of who supports the troops and who doesn't. Who is for giving them as much time at home with their spouses and children between deployments as they spend sweltering and dying in Iraq -- and who is not for them.

Now the fun begins. Now that we know who is with the troops and who is against them, it is time to use that for all it is worth.
