and perhaps most telling to see people who used to be called conservative, continue to be passed and become democrats.

For a while there there was this meme spread by our media of how we're just still moving to the left. I've noticed they've quelled that as it has become a near-ridiculous claim. You rarely hear "the liberal media" anymore either, since that too has reached this point of ridiculousness, as if it wasn't during the late-eighties, ninties, and early 2000s. Even now it ain't too lib'ruuuul.
