I think it would be better stated if this read;

'2 million Arabs on US TV in a public square and the headline isn't 'Hundreds trampled in religious festival' that is progress.

Even left wing pundits (and comedians) lose sight of the manipulative nature of our media. It never stops. Of course this is well designed propaganda -the kind you don't recognize you are a victim of. You know, the kind not found on Fox News, but rather the variety found on NPR and C-Span.
