This past October, The Flower Man of North Main Street in Dayton, Ohio, Rick Sowa, was shot by would-be robbers. Sowa, a Vietnam Veteran, was back on the job the next day, but the crime outraged Daytonians who have grown to love the presence of the Flower Man over the past 20 years.

On January 15th of this year, five Dayton bands gathered at Blind Bob's Bar and Grill in the Oregon District to celebrate the Flower Man, and give a little love back.
