HuffingtonPost:

" Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), had some choice words Wednesday for Minnesota GOP Rep. Michelle Bachmann's secondary, Tea Party-sponsored State of the Union rebuttal, calling it the action of a "rogue," "poor man's Sarah Palin."

"I think it's important to note that Michele Bachmann is not a leader, and she's not the leader of the Repbulican Party," McCain noted, walking a similar line to that given by GOP leadership before Bachmann's address.

"Michele Bachmann is no better than a poor man's Sarah Palin," she added.

1. Isn't her 15 minutes up yet?

Just because she's able to identify lunatics (as if that's hard to do), doesn't make me respect her in the slightest.

2. She and her mom were very vocal about gay rights -- and that took courage
(especially for Cindy, I'd think) to so blatantly disagree with McCain so publicly.

This girl may be a help in helping the new Republican party become more like "your grandfather's Republican party" -- a party where there are people who share many of the same values we do enabling us to truly work together.

3. Just another McCain with valley girl accent
Enough already! Bush's daughter, McCain's daughter, Palin's daughter, all taking advantage of the fame or celebrity of their parent. None of them have gone through political or social trial by fire. Who cares what they have to say?

6. If these shows go down that road, where are the Democratic daughters?
I am sure there are a few more outspoken children of Democratic politicians. At least have one of them on as well. Perhaps Chelsey Clinton or one of the Kerry daughters are not willing or motivated to speak out, but there must be some Democrats child. Why is it always a Rethugs offspring? They even had on Dubya's dim witted nephew on CNN a few years ago, almost an exact duplicate of a younger version of his uncle.

If they can use their children to 'soften up' their image, the Dems should too. Yes its crass and self-serving, and its all so beneath them, but the Dems have got to start fighting fire with fire, and puppy dogs with puppy dogs.

4. McCain Spawn
Edited on Thu Jan-27-11 03:51 PM by JJW
Why would anyone watch this? Who cares what a Senator's child thinks?

Sad how these opportunists spawned from the pandering McCain.

5. Watching Meghan McCain, one gets the impression that
her views are extremely similar to her father's. Meghan McCain is a good indicator of what John McCain's TRUE positions would be if he were uncorrupted by campaign donations, voter sentiment, pressure from within the GOP, etc. Meghan McCain has alluded to this, saying that she and her father are "...exactly the same."

In fact, she was standing next to her father when she said that. He just laughed nervously and said, "Oh, I don't know about that." As with a lot of politicians, particularly corporate-owned conservatives, John McCain works hard to obscure his real positions.

7. Most of the Teabagger Party's members
are about as smart as Bachmann, which is not saying much. She's about as smart as water. I mean, the most abundant element in the universe is Stupidium. Atomic Weight 0, 0 protons, 0 neutrons, 0 electrons. Bachmann has a corner on Stupidium in between her ears!
