13. WOW
You are an optimist now aren't you? The reality is that few would and I see not only this being a rarety in a candidate, but that he was in the front of an antiwar rally too, a very risky and sometimes dangerous place to be, says he's clinched my vote. He's shown he's more than just a political mouthpiece adding to pollution levels.

lol.. true. I feel nearly certain Edwards woulda done it, with Eliz right there, and maybe her holding the guy's hand instead of John, and I would HOPE that the rest of the dem candidates woulda done the same exact thing - now the repubs? I don't think any woulda done it. Maybe Paul.

41. Even GWB? Remember, twice now, policemen accompanying his motorcade have been in
serious accidents (I know one officer died, I'm not sure about the other) and Bush just drove on to the airport and flew off.

It would be nice if everyone were blessed with compassion and a need to help, but it just ain't so.

9. We need to start putting Clinton or Obama in the posts title...
or we will never get his word out. Most DUers are like most Americans, they wont even look into Kucinich to see what he offers the country, they ignore him like the media tells them to. I too worry that we wont be able to get the message out there, that there is a candidate thats not playing political games with our lives. There is a choice for true change in politics but will the American people open their eyes, ears and hearts and look outside the box for their next president?

26. I worry about the same thing: that we won't get the word out. But I remember when
Edited on Sat Sep-15-07 01:33 AM by sofedupwithbush
Jimmy Carter won the nomination. I was astonished that our country honestly seemed to recognize true goodness for a change. And I was stunned when he won the election. Unfortunately, his (and our) victory was too short-lived, thus commencing this terrible, downward spiral we have been caught in ever since. I fantasize how much good Dennis could do for our broken country and our lop-sided world. It's got to be a grassroots movement to proselytize Dennis. I think I'll get a Nano and show anyone who'll watch a Kucinich kick-ass video.

62. But he's short, and she wears funny hats.
:sarcasm: It's a crying shame that that's how a majority of America's citizens choose a President. They want the "Dutch" or the "Duke" look. It doesn't matter if there's absolutely nothing between their ears, they just have to LOOK the part. :banghead:

Dennis and Elizabeth are such fine people and he'd make such a great President. Bush and Laura combined wouldn't make a pimple on Dennis's ass.

I agree and I agree, but on the second point bush does make a great hemroid as he's been a pain in the ass of America. We have to go farther than preparation h as we need preparation w until we can get Dr. Dennis to remove him once and for all.:bounce: :woohoo: :woohoo: :applause: :applause:

27. Kucinich is the only candidate who will bring about "real" change
If he wins the Primary he will be the next president. The other candidates don't ever even mention his name because they don't want him to get any attention. They know that if the Dems and Independents see what he is really bout and how far he surpasses them they won't stand a chance. He's been there and done that on every issue. For once we have a chance to actually get the best and most qualified candidate for president. Kucinich is the man. Thanks afor posting this insight.

Kucinich/Edwards '08...the truth ticket....make it happen.

34. I was at the head of the march when the cameraman fell.
Because the march was stopped, people were jamming up and starting to overflow. One of the vets leading the parade had four of five of us block off a section that folks were streaming thru. I looked over my shoulder & saw Pat Scanlon (was an RN I think) Notice the man on the ground - Pat got out of the car to see what he could do.

I glanced over my shoulder & saw Kucinich look out the window of the car he was in and grimace.

He got out of the car & went to assist.

In the video you see Kucinich holding the man's hand.

After a short period of time, the cameraman on the ground said something like "I'm sorry for squeezing someone's hand." Kucinich replied "Don't worry about it, squeeze harder."

That's where he won my vote.

Kucinich is a true human being.

Put me in the DK camp.

36. One thing is crytstal clear
The best way to shake up the democratic party...the best way to scare the hell out of the mainstream corporate politicians vying attention in the presidential race...the best way to throw the conventional wisdom of the MSM out the window is if Kucinich suddenly started moving up in the polls. If Kucinich starts winning polls and starts rising to the top it will throw the dems into a panic.

Right now Kucinich is our best weapon as far as a "political solution" to the fascist republican takeover ( I will say I personally do not believe a political solution is possible because the political system is so corrupt and broken, But for those who insist on trying to change through due process...Kucinich is the only hope). The mainstream dems just want to dance around issues with carefully crafted language, calculated statements meant not to offend Christians, warmongers and corporate backers. Kucinich doesnt give a shit. Kucinich speaks from his heart and speaks with reason, something no other candidate seems able to do (ok I will say Edwards seems closest to this as far as front runners but even he does not get close to Kucinich).

If we want to see true change in the political landscape and moral direction of this really really fucked up nation I suggest we get behind Kucinich. Whether you agree with all of his policy stands or not one thing is clear...NO OTHER CANDIDATE WOULD SHAKE UP THE STATUS QUO LIKE KUCINICH. No other candidate means change in direction like Kucinich. A sudden surge in polling and popularity of Kucinich would shake this ridiculous presidential race up like nothing else.

This nation is in desperate need of someone to take us out of this corporate/fascist sludge pit we have found ourselves in and only Kucinich...ONLY KUCINICH comes close to fitting that role. Kucinich in 2009...our only true hope for change by due process. If not Kucinich then its taking to the streets in a stand against the corporate/fascist takeover of our nation.

"Shock and Awe" - Kucinich Responds
by Kucinich

March 23, 2003

http://freepress.org/dispatches/2003/display/72

Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (DOH), who leads opposition in the House to the war in Iraq, issued the following statement on the 'shock and awe' air campaign:

"Today is a sad day, the United States has begun its 'shock and awe' air campaign against Iraq. By all accounts this attack will rain thousands of bombs down on a heavily populated area."

"The 'shock and awe' air campaign is a horrific acceleration of the United States' unprovoked attack against Iraq. This air campaign is designed to aim the full might of the United States military apparatus at the center of a civilian population."

"Today, my thoughts and prayers are with the coalition service men and women serving in the region and with the innocent Iraqi civilians. We must end this unjustified war."

58. I love DK
But most candidates would do this.
Glad it gets everyone excited though... Whatever it takes!

60. It's a shame that character isn't a factor when we choose our leaders.
Dennis would win, hands down, if it were.

61. Not surprised. Good for Dennis.....
and good for Elizabeth. It is sweet to see how she supports him.

Compassion...nice to see it in action.

67. Had ENOUGH? Is '08 a Year to Vote your Conscience or for Bill Redux or Obama Unknown?
I think after all these years...I've got to vote with my conscience. Voting with those who were the "Front Runners/Those Who Couldn't Win...because of this or that...has jaded me to voting for FrontRunner
in America's truly darkest hour.

Voting for Change means many things, and many will say...ANY DEM is BETTER THAN BUSHIES...but I can't vote for anyone who has ALL THAT MONEY UPFRONT. I want "the little guy" that I always should have voted for ...but didn't ...because I caved hoping the Big Guy would listen to all those who supported the "little guy." (Guy being generic these days in the M$M)
