5. If you can't recognize a fighter for justice then...oh well.

Nader has done a tremendous amount of good for this country. If you want to just piss on that because of the 2000 election, then you've lost me. I don't want him to run for president either because I want a democrat to win as well and anything that threatens that concerns me. But Ralph Nader is one of the good guys who speaks out against corruption with a clear, unmistakably sane voice that cuts through the BS.

It's your loss for not hearing the truth and power in his words. One does not have to agree with everything a person does. The substance of Ralph Nader's work through the years is clearly positive and he has made a difference in our lives for the better. He has put his life's work behind that ideal and he continues despite the 2000 election blowing up in his face. I cannot fault the man for that, and it's sick to see put-downs and dismissals because in 2000 he exercised his right to run for the presidency. It's the right-wing, neo-con, corporatists who are screwing everything up, not Nader.

Your ire I think would be better directed elsewhere.

There's a pretty interesting discussion with Cornel West and Mos Def and the interview with Colin Powell's former assistant Lawrence Wilkerson is fairly enlightening.
