Alan shows us what the "high and mighty" will be able to continue spending their money on when/if their $83,347 a year tax cuts continue...

4. That's how you play the game... for 2 years
I am sorry Grayson lost, but I am not at all sure that his approach was the right one. There quite a few other, equally liberal, politicians that manges to be more effective by being less "in your face" and less of a political shock jock.

7. Yeah, "in your face" is a bad approach.
Just ask Sarah Palin.

:sarcasm:

10. Palin
is an astronomically annoying media personality, but so far not exactly a successful politician (and I pray it stays that way). Not even very successful at pushing what supposedly she cares about.

6. I wonder what that weasel of a hypocrite Dan Burton was going to say after Grayson's presentation.
What I remember about Burton was he was at the forefront of slamming Clinton over the Lewinsky affair when it turned out that he was whoring around and sired a child with a woman who was not his wife. The fact that he is still in Congress after all of that just shows how voters are. They act like political elections are like rooting for your favorite college football team or something. You unconditionally support a party regardless of how incompetent or morally bankrupt that party's candidates are.

Back to Grayson's point: The richest 1% already have the means to buy a Mercedes E-Class car, fancy cigars and whatever WITHOUT the Bush tax cuts. Therefore, the money does not circulate and does not reinvigorate the economy. All that extra money does is go toward things like speculative investments that create our bubble economies. Or it just accumulates in the family estate, meaning their heirs get that much more money and are that much more detached from the reality of what most families have to do to survive.

12. He's making a point about what they could continue spending that money on
In terms that other less 'aware' Americans can get the heads around.

I agree with the thrust of your argument, though.

11. Well done.
How about giving those taxes to the rich only with the proviso that they're used for jobs?

We have Incubator programs run by government, why don't we partnership with small businesses and offer to pay the $30,000 salary directly to employees?
