2. Floridians elected a mega criminal governor

Thanks for telling this story. The press didn't really cover it.

How does someone get elected when current Florida law enforcement officials at great risk to their own careers appeared in political advertising and basically said the guy was a criminal? Answer: most Floridians are terminally stupid and virtually illiterate.

I've heard response from republican voters like: well, I had some reservations about that but I thought he was better than the alternative. I guess that is what voters for Hitler might have said.

4. A disaster for the state.

Fortunately, many of us have experience with disasters in Florida - but this one is the definitely the big one.
Add in a fully stocked bat-shit crazy Republican house and, folks, you have a brand new state.
Best I can look forward to is a full exposure for those bat-shit policies at peak disaster strength. That usually works for a few cycles anyway. Citizens United may change even that little old reliable.
