1. Earmarks and reform

I am an Independent who voted for Obama and sorry I did. I honestly think Hillary Clinton would have made a far better President---words I would have choked on in 2008 because I thought she was too "socialistic". My mistake!

Obama is weak. It's TOO easy for him to blame all the Republicants because some of the issues they raiser are actually reasonable. And I write that with difficulty.

Now the Republicants are going to mess with Social Security and Medicare, something they have been itching to do for years --and they will blame the thick-headed out-of-touch Democrats whose reaction will be "duh?"

I am paying far more attention to the qualifications of each candidate instead of leaning toward either party.

I dislike the Tea Party and most of its so-called policies, but the basic idea of ridding our government of the entrenched dishonest and arrogant crooked politicians is a goal I heartily approve of.

As for Earmarks---they are the dirtiest trick ever played on the American people.
