Is it possible that multinational corporations united (Citizens United in bullshit propaganda terminology) using trillions of dollars of capital and influence might just overtake or in some way compromise the integrity of the American (former) government, one "of by and for the People"?

Can these power structures be considered the "factions" that were addressed in the Federalist Papers? Do unions in America have the same potential and actual influence as multinational corporations?

The midterms of 2010 mark the end of an American government that at least pretended to be responsive to the people. It is officially a private corporation that responds to the highest bidder.

The fact that Americans have never seriously taken to the streets (as the French did regarding the retirement age) in response to the laughingly named "Citizens United" Supreme Court ruling, shouts out loud and clear "Fuck me, I'm an idiot and I don't know my ass form a hole in the ground".

Defenders of the catastrophic failure of Democrats to do what they were elected to do now acquiesce to a manufactured media consensus that "Barack Obama and the Democrats must moderate their positions"!

Decades of Madison Avenue tactics have prepared the soil of the American populace as a fertile bed for the seeds of self hate, arrogance and the worship of capital power.

I am an outsider in this corporate livestock nation. How bad will it have to get?
