5. This clarifies a lot about the Tea-Baggers.
At least these individual Tea-Baggers.

How does Karl Denninger think people who rely on Medicare will be able to pay for their healthcare since so many of them are retired and most often have no income beyond Social Security. A lot of seniors lost money in the stock market crash.

And those who have invested their meager savings more conservatively earn no interest -- so they too have no income.

A small percentage of seniors have pensions. Very few people ever save enough to live on in retirement even at the most modest level.

Denninger's proposal would mean that many, many seniors just die.

Interesting that not one of the Tea-Baggers mentioned maybe closing a few of our over 740 bases over seas.

12. This clarifies a lot about the Tea-Baggers.
None of what you wrote matters to them. Neither do the vague empty talking point platitudes they recite. (if they cared about government spending, where were they during Bush & Co.? What about the Pentagon?) They can't say what they really want to say.... which is there's a black man in the White House and they can't stand it! So they talk drivel... and hope we don't notice.

16. And yanking people off the street and putting them in prisons here in
Edited on Fri Oct-29-10 10:21 PM by peacetalksforall
this country/mainland, on U.S. leased land in Cuba, and who knows how many other countries who have malevolently agreed to our prisons for their profit. What about the pay of jets, pilots, fuel to fly those prisoners from country to country. What about the missing trillowns from the DOD? What about the trillions we have paid for cooperation of Iraqis, Pakistanis, Afghanis, Egyptians, etc. to be yes men or women? NOW, THAT IS SOME SPENDING. Let's add in what we paid to Ireland and all the other coutnries that allowed fuel stops for the rendition flights. What about all the medical care required for serious illnesses of two Gulf Wars? What about the lawsuits and the legal fees fighting rights violations - even lawsuits from inadequate vehicles, head gear. What about the $40.00 KBR embroidered towels or was that legendary. I don't think so.

Let's ask them about the bills for all of the above and more.

What was their names - Bremer? Garner? How much money did all those men make?

What about the lawsuits from the females who were harassed and raped?

What will it cost if all this goes to a world court? It won't because the countries involved with the courts are all European whose leaders are also the Bilderburg members who are/were behind the wars.

Let's ask Amy and the other three about this spending?

7. O'Donnell handles his own against four adversaries in a discussion.
Watch Faux Snooze and you always have one token "liberal" against four RW dolts who shout the liberal out of the discussion.

After the lady tried to blurt out that they want their freedom or some thing, O'Donnell should have asked those four to name one thing they cannot do today that they could do before Obama became president. He should have also asked if they would favor making significant cuts in our military budget. Those two questions would have really flushed out the phoniness of the teabagging cause.

8. I *hate* the "all our freedoms are gone" whining from the right.
Especially since even hard-hitting journalists like O'Donnell so rarely ask "Will you please name the top three specific things that you cannot do now that you could have done in December 2008?"

This question would get the same blank, empty Quayle-in-the-headlights stare as "If you succeed in making abortion a capital crime, will it be the woman or the doctor (or both) who will be executed if he performs an abortion for her?"

9. That was a thing of beauty.
Please, someone inform all of those senior citizens at the tea parties that one of their leaders wants to cut their Medicare by 50%.

10. Teabaggers consistently ignore the elephant in the room: obscene increase in military spending.
The military industrial complex is a welfare queen of nightmarish proportions. Sadly, too few on our side of the aisle are willing to address the issue as well.

13. It so good to see O'Donnell make them clarify their bumper stickers and protest signs.
They didn't care for that too much, especially the guy on the top right. He was getting a little snooty. Thanks for posting the videos.

14. "It is a state constitutional requirement, it is not in the federal government...."
Edited on Fri Oct-29-10 05:17 PM by Xicano

"....it is not in the constitution" << (as heard from the 0:39 sec point on the video clip)

Really? Hmmmmm.......Well, for example, according to the Supreme Court of the United States with regard to privately grown and consumed marijuana that never enters the non existent national market for marijuana gives them (the federal government) the constitutional jurisdiction to enact the Controlled Substance Act because, as they put it, not participating in interstate commerce affects the national market for that commodity nonetheless. Ergo, the interstate commerce clause in the Constitution gives jurisdiction even though there is no such thing as a national market for marijuana unless you consider the black-market.

Now based on that logic and the fact that private run schools for profit is a legitimate market, and, numerous school supplies are bought by both public and private schools from the national markets for those commodes. You are wrong in your opinion that there is nothing in the Constitution giving the federal government authority with regard to federal regulations and funding for education. As the Supreme Court points out, the magic of the interstate commerce clause gives the federal government authority even if there is no national market which exists, but, since in this case there is actually a national market, then, that means the Constitution has even more authority.

Ha ha!! see how that works you reich-wing jerk?

17. Larry O
I've always liked Larry but I do not have the drive to sit for three hours of the best news coverage in the universe - Keith, Rachel, Lawrence.

It's the tipping point for how much time I have in my day.

Thank you for your journalism, Lawrence. Engaging the opposition with sincerity and respect is certainly a novel concept in MSM these days. I hope Larry hs started a trend here!
