Ok, I guess that's pretty easy to do - these two know that Eric Holder is "against guns", so they are voting for Joe Miller. They can't back that up, of course.

1. I am against MOST gun control. I don't think Holder threatens fire arm possesion as much as showing

up at a Presidential event packing does. I mean, demonstrate the personal responsibility taken doing that. I also don't think Holder has done enough to roll back Justice's responsibility for Gitmo or warrentless wiretaps or the invasion into private conversation and meetings. But that doesn't mean I'll vote against anyone with some vague outside connection to Holder, like a congressional candidate. These people knee jerk vote. And Holder can't enforce laws not written.

8. Hell, I've got guns. I just don't buy into the "Democrits gonna gits mah guns" bullshit.
The idiots in this clip (no pun intended) clearly have no clue about specifics.

14. Yeah, but what's REALLY frightening is how many dumbfuck Republicans are out there WHO HAVE guns.
I don't keep the clips in the guns, but the clips are loaded and ready. I really hope I never need to use them - and more importantly, I hope my children never have to use them.

15. It amazes me how many dumbfucks have guns, period. But that is the price of freedom,
even dumbfucks get to have them. And it doesn't bother me too much. Any society that can guarentee perfect safety and homogeny is a totalatarian one with little significant freedom. You won't get mugged, robbed and shot in North Korea.

16. Yeah, well, FOX gets to exist because of the First Amendment and I support that.
Frankly, most people with guns don't have a flying fuck of a clue how to use them. My wife's a 3rd degree blackbelt (I'm not and have never even taken karate). She can take out pretty much anyone other than the Grand Master and a few of the Master-level blackbelts and a gun really isn't that big of a concern. I feel pretty safe when we go out. She's also all of 4' 10 3/4" tall and 95 lbs. - but DO NOT try to fuck with her.

2. It's useless to try and argue with a table. Just like Barney Frank once said.
At a Barney Frank town hall meeting in Dartmouth, MA, a constituent asks, "Why are you supporting this Nazi policy?"

Frank responds: "On what planet do you spend most of your time?" He then calls her approach "vile, contemptible nonsense." He closes by saying: "Trying to have a conversation with you would be like arguing with a dining room table."

Why, she might even want to MARRY the dining room table according to the idiot running for Lt. Gov in WI.

4. Viewer Discretion Advised
This is the number one reason that Fox News need to have a STRONG STATEMENT at the beginning of these opinion shows like the ones that say "Viewer Discretion advised".

I weep for these people who are taking everything that they see on these opinion shows as fact. They really believe that Eric Holder is a threat! They really believe that the New Black Panther party is causing havoc. Really? This is sad!

6. K&R. Saw this last night and it's a perfect example of the craziness of this election.
I've seen the same thing in my congressional district. Teabaggers are rabid about their candidate, but have no clue where he even stands on the issues or are dead wrong about it, but they don't seem to care. It's too much work to either listen or learn. That one guy is advising Rachel to use Google to try and find the reason he thinks what he thinks?! This does not bode well... :banghead:

10. Good looking women up thar in Alaska...
I'm too old for any of that fun and frolick...but those are a couple of real cuties in the front row behind Rachel.

I'm married, and as happy as one can be...being married (cough, cough)...but I must say....I've seen VERY few repukkke or teabagger women that I would even be interested in dating if I was single. They are some ugly, angry, nasty-looking wenches. On the other hand....I'm offering my two cents worth to state that the progressives are not only a smarter, more exposed group of people; but they are better looking and happier looking. Am I just a prejudice old fart? perhpas.

11. "this is the world that faux-noise has created."
Actually, Rachel, it goes a lot deeper than that.

Faux-noise didn't CREATE this situation. They just took advantage of the pro-war, pro-capitalist, pro-growth (at all costs), irrational, emotion driven USAmerican propaganda machine that has been constructed over the last century and a half of Empire.

As Michael Moore has pointed out the essential values of a large majority of USAmericans are "liberal" to "Progressive". When it comes to fairness, equality, "live and let live", anti-corporate sentiment, etc. the masses of citizens are solidly WAY to the left of the shit that comes down from Washington and state houses in this country.

But most buy into the story, the myth that the conquerer's propaganda machine has been pushing since the beginning of Empire (actually since the beginning of the invasion in 1492).

It's the myth of USAmerican exceptionalism. The myth that if USAmerica does it; torture, dropping bombs, firing rockets and machine guns at civilians, it's all for a good cause because USAmerica does it.

The myth that USAmerica is the "greatest country on Earth" when it's demonstrably true that by every important measure; wealth differential, health care, incarceration rates, happiness index (low) and fear index (very high), USAmerica falls FAR behind the civilized world.

It is only in GDP and the size of the war machine does the USAmerican Empire lead the world.

Oh, and the numbers of people USAmerican terrorists maim and murder in the name of "democracy".

While they put up with a corporate-funded oligarchy running things inside the belly of the Empire.

And the myth goes on; we must bail out bankers and car companies and call it rescueing the financial system, we must shovel $Trillions into the coffers of the health insurance mafia and Big PhRMA and call it "health care", we must keep 150,000 combatants and the largest armed camp mislabeled an "embassy" in Iraq and call it "withdrawal", we must escalate the never-ending war in Afghanistan and shamelessly justify the act while picking up a Nobel Peace Prize!

So, no, faux-noise didn't have to do too much because the sheeple have been well programmed by their capitalist masters and the politicians and media that serve them not to ask the important, hard questions. You're just supposed to accept as a given that the industrial growth paradigm, long work weeks with little or no security and perpetual war are just "the way things always have been and always will be."

A few $Billion from the far right and the whole thing tipped toward fascism.

Quelle Suprise?

29. There was an easy answer to this
that a guy in a gun store gave to Maddow later in the show. It didnt have to do with Holder, but had to do with Obama nominating two justices that voted against gun rights on the supreme court. Well, one did, and the other very likely would.

Holder did make noises about the assault weapons ban and I think some other gun control issues early on, but got a lot of push back about it and dropped it. Maybe Obama told him to cool it.

Remember, Holder is the one that has threatened pot growers if prop 19 passes and probably damaged it chances of passing. He probably discouraged the youth Democratic vote too. So he's no hero to liberals either. I wish Obama would get rid of him.

32. That was my point in post 29.
Holder has made noises about gun control, even though he hasn't done anything about it.

MUCH more importantly though for the gun rights crowd is that Obama put two "anti 2nd Amend" justices on the supreme court.

A guy in a gunstore got Maddow on that later in the show.

37. I noticed the following;
even though they had the chance to be on a national TV program they still wanted to wave their signs to a few passing motorists and keep their backs to Rachel. It didn't occur to them that it was their big opportunity to articulate their issues to a national audience.

The male is under the impression that a Google search of Holder and firearms would prove his point, but he's unable to understand that searches like that brings up more right wing propaganda and not facts. He also told Rachel something about such Google searches would bring up ammo for her show. He seems unable to understand that just because he and his mob are anti-Holder, the whole country isn't.

It's a wonderful example of Right Wing Authoritarian followers. Rachel did a marvelous job of educating them that Holder had no voting record because he wasn't elected etc. It would have been funny but almost cruel to ask them who Eric Holder actually was.

Rachel said the woman, when 'one on one' with Rachel, was very nice. The RW followers become sensible if you can separate them from the rest of the rabble shouting out the same thoughtless things.

Fox News is doing great damage to the country because they know how to manipulate the RW and create fictitious situations to scare and anger them into a mindless dangerous mob.
