Oyster Fest is a success, but fishermen fear uncertain future, Fox8 New Orleans, October 16, 2010: While the parish transitions from oil response to a more long-term restoration plan, Parish President Craig Taffaro said the parish's challenge is to make sure cleanup where it's needed is still relevant. "We're running into some resistance in the sense that we're getting a lot of feedback to just let mother nature handle the oil that's there, and not really a whole lot of attention to the oil that may be on the water bottom that we're finding as we stir sections on the water bottom up," said Taffaro.

Is oil affecting life on the sea floor? See: "The oysters didn't grow... they didn't spawn" — "They DON'T HAVE ANY small oysters for next year or the year after" (VIDEO)

CONFIRMED: "Oysters didn't grow... they didn't spawn" -- NONE "for next year or the year after"

1. BP! For the win!!!
Wow, he sounds much more toned down than I have seen him before. I remember seeing him calling them a bunch of damned liars. I guess he is starting to adjust to the realization that there really is no cleanup for anything other than can be shown by the media (at best). What a powerful message that sends to the Oil companies, eh, about dispersants. It damn well works!!! Probably saved BP billions of dollars and will certainly be used the next time around.

3. Some people had better watch themselves
"Gulf fish is safe to eat" may become the next "Saddam has WMD, and we know where they are!"

Obama had better tread VERY carefully with this. Mississippi will elect a Republican governor
and Republican senators even if they kill their parents and barbecue their bodies at a nationally
televised campaign rally. The rest of the country might not be so forgiving if a deliberate
deception is uncovered.

4. Agree, BP apologists have been hard at work here...
trying to cover up the true extent of the disaster. The problem is when Obama accepted 20 billion from BP, he gave them something in return. That's the way politics works. Given the lies and deceptions and how the Feds made it illegal to investigate the damage close up, I suspect BP will walk free just like wall street walked free and tortures walked free and those who started a war based on lies walked free.

That's the new democratic party. Like Reagan republicans except worse.

One comment at above link mentioned Stockholm Syndrome. That is what is happening. Poor BP, just an innocent victim of evil socialism.
