"After the Sept. 11 attacks, Bush gave the CIA, and later the military, authority to kill U.S. citizens abroad . . . . The Obama administration has adopted the same stance. . . . . As of several months ago, the CIA list included three U.S. citizens, and an intelligence official said that Aulaqi's name has now been added." from the Washington Post's Dana Priest in January.

Anwar al Alwaki is the only U.S. citizen who has been identified on the CIA's assassination list. In this video Polly Mann asks passers-by if they think the CIA has the right to assassinate U.S. citizens without a trial. Unfortunately, some people are ok with anything if they think it it's part of the so-called War on Terror.

Glenn Greenwald has written extensively about this violation of the Constitution. " The notion that the President has such an unconstrained, unchecked power is such a blatant distortion of everything our political system is supposed to be -- such a pure embodiment of the very definition of tyrannical power -- that, no matter how many times I see it, it's still hard for me to believe there are people willing to expressly defend it."
