1. Oh yeah they definitely worked
I feel bad that Obama is NEVER going to be remembered for any of the good things because of his ass-clown predecessor

2. Democrats need to be revved up. Yeah! Go Dems!
And in a related story, Obama just signed new more powerful wiretapping laws into place. Coming up next.... "Why the Dem's lost so may seats in November."

In a world, where Republicans can rewrite history and Democrat's refuse to utter a word about their accomplishments, you end up with lost elections and a really hard time revving up those democrats. Obama might as well have called a special session of his inner circle and asked "Are we not doing enough to lose this election? Let's brainstorm.... how else can we fuck things up for the upcoming elections?"

3. Whats the use of inspiring the base to come out and vote in a Majority when, once in, they begin
governing like a Minority government. Once in power, we should have come out with guns blazing beginning with some Bush administration criminal investigations. Aah, wishful thinking!

5. I couldn't agree more. This a very simple case of cause and effect.
So, great, don't do any of the things that the people voted for you were looking for. However, don't be the least big surprised when you lose a bunch of seats and potentially the next election. We are experiencing what has been the largest opportunity cost in political history. The hight hopes that we all had will make it that much more difficult the next time that somebody comes along who is promising the world. The next candidate may even be able to deliver on their promises of change, but may not get elected because everybody will be thinking "Yeah, heard that before!" In addition, we will now have a bunch of ignorant teabagger fucks who think that they are correct in their beliefs. That might be the worst part of it all.

8. If all of you would actually start pushing for REAL change for poverty, then they couldn't get away
with the lies.

But poverty isn't something that most of you care about, so poor people will continue suffering and dying.

Not that it matters to most of you.

10. Mr. Santorum is full of .....non-chemical fertilizer.
The Bush years were hell on the poverty rate; it increased from 11.3 in 2000 to 12.7 in 2004......and real wages dropped during that time as well.

13. Since I received a request for the poverty rates from
2004 to 2008, note that there was another 1% increase, at least, in the poverty rate during those years. The US figures are for 13.5 percent at the end of 2008. The UN figures put it at almost 15%.
