Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown is airing a new TV ad attacking Republican Meg Whitman for her dealings with Goldman Sachs and the salary she received at eBay.

"We're choosing a governor," the narrator says. "Shouldn't character matter?"

The spot is to start airing statewide today, the Brown campaign said in a statement.

2. A brilliant ad!

A campaign on character will bury Whitman. I've read some nasty shit about this woman's sons that came out long before this campaign shifted into high gear. Meg Graftman is as reactionary as Christine O'Donnell and as corupt as Tom DeLay. Truly a repulsive creature.

27. Everyone fucking complains about Wall Street
Edited on Sat Oct-02-10 07:19 PM by BolivarianHero
But then people are blinded by parochial and demographic interests and casts their ballots accordingly. There's some nasty fucking stuff in the Democratic Party, but also stuff I envy in spite of my being more radical and my finding the aggregate much too conservative. Comes with the territory of being a Canuck lefty. The GOP is nigh-universally despicable, but even some decent folks are Republicans. Some of the very same Vermonters who voted for Georgie also voted for Bernie.

3. Yay, I wanted to see someone talk about corrupt Meg
stealing from her own stockholders....

The nerve of her complaining about Browns $70k pension when she takes $120 million from her stockholders.

24. That's true, and sometimes the fight gets no coverage
just like how the rally in Washington DC today is getting less coverage than the Beck rally from a few weeks ago... the media ignores it when Democrats do show a backbone.

15. That's where she belongs for sure, now that we know they
must have known about their housekeeper's status.

She wanted to go after employers who did hired illegal workers, remember?

17. Because one is a pug and one is a Democrat.
Martha's "offense" (one all of Wall st is guilty of) was nothing compared to what Whitman did.
Our kangaroo Justice system on the Federal level, is christofascist to the core.

23. easy answer to that one
Martha is a Democrat, Meg Whitman is a Republican. Anything bad Whitman does is obviously somebody else's fault.
