1. This is a brutal interview

Mrs. Cooper was woefully unprepared for this interview and obviously didn't know what she was getting into. Its sad to see a representative so unaware of reality, she seemed to have no idea how our economy works and the reasons for the economic collapse. She would make asinine points, Cenk would break down her argument completely and then she would just mumble some random bullshit. It was like Cenk wasn't even trying, she put up such a weak defense and he just tore her apart.

2. These interviews are great because

it shows there is no underlying logic behind their view points. It's just a bunch of talking points loosely stitched together. It can't stand up under questioning by a skilled interviewer like Cenk who understands the game their playing better than thye do. By 10:15 she could run no further and just went silly.

Sharon: "We're in this mess because government gave the banks permission to do it."
Cenk: "Uh, yeah. That's called 'deregulation.'"
Sharon: "No, no!"


She has no fucking idea what she is talking about.

6. The large banks also used TARP to buy up smaller banks, thus making themselves even larger.

So now they're, "far too big to fail."

But who knew/knows that was ever going to be a problem? No one can/could have foresee/foreseen that not regulating TARP could cause problems. Even now - it's just unknowable.

8. Interviews like this are when Cenk shows off his ownership skills!

The moment she mentioned Barney Frank, Cenk knew he had her. He toyed with her and got under her skin until it all went rapidly downhill and she finally admitted she had just been SCHOOLED!

10. Aw c'mon. Cooper is making perfect sense.

First Obama became president in 2009.

Then he caused the financial collapse of 2008.



That STINKIN Franklin Roosevelt did the same thing.
He came into power in 1933 and wouldncha know it?
He immediately caused the stock market crash of 1929!!!!!!

12. These interviews are scary

You show these people reality and they just don't care. And there are lots of them out there. We have just felt (and really hard) how deregulation does not work. It caused the great depression and it caused this mess that we are in now. But then again, these tea party people defend it and that is the only solution they have to offer. Is this superficial bullshit what the American people really want?
