Summary: Cenk Uygur (host of The Young Turks) filling in for Dylan Ratigan on MSNBC talks to Rep. Robert Andrews (D-NJ) about politicians fighting to extend the Bush tax cuts for the rich, some of which are within the Democratic Party despite president Obama coming out against an extension.

1. K& Rec #5 Obama's been consistently fighting a good fight on this.

And Cenk has been consistently doing a good job as a host on MSNBC. Personally, I still enjoy TYT more as he's a lot funnier there.

(edited to take out the "n/t" as there was a "t", doh!)

2. K&R! Cenk is great on this as he is on everything else...
I was disappointed when I tuned in today and saw Dylan Ratigan... :( ;)

3. Cenk is a snot.
The glee in his voice when he thinks Obama is in trouble is so obvious. I usually don't watch his rants. I find him so obnoxious and as for the dems who are going along with the crooks I say after the election make them pay. No leadership positions.

4. I still prefer him to Dylan Ratigan.
The thing that I like about Cenk is that he is willing to speak out in a way that most on cable are not. Whether he's on TYT or on MSNBC, he is still the same outspoken guy, with the same message. :)

5. Let's look at the facts
There are countless clips of Cenk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1FT3iG1guk|defending> (or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avOewUfIxag|praising>) Obama and Democrats while http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsXuD0wWYFU|tearing the GOP to shreds>.

Don't take my word for it, check out the links provided (plenty more where those came from). Unless of course you're of the opinion that ANY criticism of the president or Democratic party is unacceptable and that praise and defense is the only option 100% of the time. That's on the substance, but if you personally don't find him to be entertaining that's a perfectly valid opinion (that I disagree with) and a separate issue.

8. I think some people willingly ignore the positive and only focus on the negative
That happens on "both sides of the aisle".

The difference is, our side of the aisle also does comprise of a lot of people who can focus on both the positive and the negative. I have disagreed with Cenk in the past, but I don't agree with everything anyone says anyway.

He is successful at what he does for a few reasons. He is very funny, smart and likeable.
