This vid was a good example of the limited and infantile nature of so-called "conservative thinking." Which is to say not much thinking at all. When not associated with basic selfishness and greed, conservative thinking is mostly just reacting to cues and doing what one has been taught to do all their life without any knowledge about the rationale, or ever questioning oneself about why they're doing it. Conservative minds fear challenges and change. Orthodoxy and rigidness are its hallmarks.

Complexity seems to be too much for the conservative mind to handle (e.g. - Ronald Reagan), and thus they often try to reduce complex issues down to a simpler form as O'Donnell does here with her black/white mindset about telling lies. They'll often attempt to claim that all life's answers are simple. And while sometimes arriving at an answer to one's problems can be simple to reach, in my experience they rarely are simple when it involves the things people do or the reasons people are the way they are. Those answers are almost never simple.

- For example, O'Donnell's "thinking" problems may have started by being dropped on her head quite often as a infant. But that answer would be too simple, wouldn't it?
