Beautiful and brilliant discussion of what is really at stake with the "no rape or incest" exception GOP candidates this year. MHL nails it in the final couple of minutes.

American woman voters (and men!) - don't let this happen to women and girls in America. Horrible.

1. Big government forcing 14 year old rape victims to give birth
And I thought they were against the Nanny state.

If GOP women are going to support big government in forcing women to give birth, they are going to need a lot of Nannies.

I wonder why Christine doesn't have any children? She claims she had sex with men she wasn't particularly fond of in college. Could it be she had an abortion herself? Just thinking out loud.

Lacewell was beyond eloquent..she was inspiring and charismatic in her words.

Proves that one does not have to be a man to be a misogynist.

7. Melissa is brilliant
and she's also well grounded. If you look at most of these women they're evangelicals on a mission..in their minds. To bring us a theocracy. There are many males already in our government like this. They're from the 'do what I say not what I do' crowd. They have compartmentalized minds. They believe they've been chosen by the Almighty. Remember Bush saying this? They're above reproach but will lay their foot on our throats.

Thanks for posting..excellent

10. or they have been conditioned into a role, just as our young girls are being as a sex object....
maybe females ought to walk away fro role prescribed to us, and be authentic with self... as a human first. cause society figuring out our role for us fucks us every. single. time.

They want to bring back the Sanhedrin..their version of it. I don't mean to equate all evangelicals with them..to be clear..these are the fanatics. Blind to what they're doing. Anyone believing that morality can be legally mandated needs to just watch people on the roads.

9. brilliant. my question: if girl forced to have baby of rapist, does he have custodial rights after
prison term?

i use to ask anti abortion people if it is murder when they declare if raped, incest and mother health. since they said abortion murder, but they allow those three. and if allow those three, really it isn't about murder, it is about punishment for promiscuity.

now that they recognize that argument, their hypocrisy and all abortions illegal.... i now want to hear these people on custodial rights of the rapist. i want to hear them tell me that a woman, who has been raped, had the baby must now allow rapist to be a father to that child.

11. I carefully notice that they're not touching
the question of whether an abortion is right if the life of the mother is at stake.

I truly despise these people, and the fact that the media isn't asking that question and holding them to account for what they truly are; misogynist and judgemental. This is a position detrimental to the health of women.
