This is an energy conservation ad campaign currently running up here in Canada.

1. Am I the only one who finds this a bit too simplistic?

I'm sure polluting companies would love it if we never pressured them to change what they were doing.

2. Hey, every little bit helps...no reason to complain about this. Furthermore, do you have

ANY IDEA how much electricity is wasted by people leaving lights on, letting their computers to sleep instead of shutting them off, all that kinds of things she mentioned? It's a fucking LOT! (There're reasearch you could do, if you'd care to.)

And I didn't see any mention in the ad that that this kind of activity was supposed to "take the place of pressuring polluting companies." Did you?

3. In their quest to reach young people

the font they used in the ads made it look like FUCK OFF, not FLICK OFF. I don't know how well this would have been received in the US.
