Just say no to lobbyists! Nancy Reagan, he's not, but that's a good thing.

1. "Time to End the Game!"
It's time to end the game and take back our democracy.

Go, Edwards!

2. Just Say No
is exactly what needs to be said not only to Corporate America, but also to this administration asking for more money and for more troops to Iraq. No, No, No!

What part of N O is not understood?

3. Just as important from Edwards is this:
If we are going to meet the challenges we face and prevail over them, two principles must guide us -- yes, we must end the Washington game, but we must also think as big as the challenges we face. Our ideas must be bold enough to succeed and our government must be free to enact them without compromising principle or sacrificing results.

One without the other isn't good enough. All the big ideas in the world won't make a difference if they have to go through this broken system that remains controlled by big business and their lobbyists. And if we fix the system, but aren't honest with the American people about the scope of our challenges and what's required of each of us to meet them, then we'll be left with the baby steps and incremental measures that are Washington's poor excuse for progress.

As Bobby Kennedy said, "If we fail to dare, if we do not try, the next generation will harvest the fruit of our indifference; a world we did not want, a world we did not choose, but a world we could have made better by caring more for the results of our labors."

But if we do both -- if we have the courage to offer real change and the determination to change Washington -- then we will be build the One America we dream of, where every man, woman and child is blessed with the same, great opportunity and held to the same, just rules.

6. This is the first time in forty years anyone has even
attempted to pick up where Bobby left off. We can stand by Edwards this great man and restore america the beautiful. I for one want to be that beacon of light that he talks about with such passion and commitment. Hope is on the horizon, we just have to have the guts and will to work and fight.

9. First time he's given this speech
He doesn't have speechwriters, he writes his own material, so this is all him. But I don't imagine that the first time he gives a speech, he has it memorized. Once he has his new points down, he'll be able to do it from memory, and be a lot more fiery, like he usually does with speeches he has given more than once.

13. hmm. I guess I always thought he speaking straight from his
heart - you don't have to memorize what's in your heart.

Nevertheless, I am still on board. (unless he waivers on pulling out of Iraq). He is definitely our best hope at winning. And there are many, many poor, unfortunate people who are waiting to be lifted up.

11. Just So Long As...
...John doesn't announce a 'just say no' to Big Media. This is the mindset that first drew me to Howard Dean four years ago, then he went public about his plan to overhaul, revisit and change the media ownership and 'fairness doctrine' rules...you could almost hear the air being sucked out of the room, and the campaign. All of a sudden every media operation began it's ridicule and open campaign against Howard. He didn't stand a chance after that. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the change and if John sticks to the generic 'corporate lobbyist' label, he may be able to avoid the 'luny-label' from BM. Either way, he's talking straight. This is at the core of what's wrong with this country and unless Al Gore 'gets off the pot', then John Edwards is my man.

We don't need a candidate that has a third to half the electorate that won't vote for them going in - as with 'HillObama'. Republicans cannot win it in '08, we can only lose it.

15. Yep. If they have no conscience and no qualms against starting
a fake war and thousands and thousands dying. If they have no remorse for leaving Katrina people abandoned. They'd have no qualms about what you said as well.
