In my experience with Christianity (and its quite extensive) I would say that Christians don't actually believe in their Christ. They don't know their biblical texts, nor the history and provenance of its stories. Further, I would say that Christians know almost NOTHING about the creation and development of The Church. Because if they did, I don't think many of them would be able to keep down their lunch.
