Again...why are racists being given a forum in the media? Whether or not the Tea Party itself is racist...akin to the KKK, is not the issue. It's people like Glenn Beck and this a-hole who claim to use race as a defense against racist. It's deflection at its finest and I don't think it's wrong at all for people to call them out on it. Not all racists have to wear white robes and scream "White Power." There has always been an intellectual side of racism that hasn't been given its proper scrutiny. These racists sought to use science as a defense of oppression against Blacks and other non-desired people(see Eugenics, etc). It has been discovered that the Tuskegee syphilis experiments were based on racist ideology. What Mark Williams shows, is that there is an intellectual side of the Tea Party that is attempting to use race as a weapon. He wouldn't be the first, other Republicans in positions of power have also used dog whistle attacks, but this goes beyond simple "dog-whistle." What's even more infuriating is this notion that Blacks can't challenge them on this, lest they be equated to the Black Panther Party and Rev.Wright. So there is even a shield of immunity protecting these people from certain levels of criticism, and this is mainly the fault of the media for giving them a platform to begin with. It also goes to show you how conservative the media really is.

This reeks so much of the very same type question and if the NAACP had any smarts in this issue they would have set up the right wingers and fleabaggers before releasing the proclamation and would have not made it public it was going to happen long before it ever did.
They also would have made strong inroads into professional sports, but the right wing bought and paid for professional athletes who are so impressionable while young and so we have a whole class of black millionaire athletes siding with the right wing. The NAACP once again shoots self in foot with a noble cause.

There is a difference between racist and racial obviously the NAACP is racial as they represent the 'colored people' (its in the name of their organization so I used it) but to equate that with 'racist' is just bs. I am surprised that we don't have a lot of insane asylums opening up because these people could certainly fill them with no trouble.

As long as Democrats or other groups do not lash back, which Democrats most always are guilty of, they win!

Now the MSM will start editorializing "Is the NAACP racist?, Let's ask ...."(some teabagger apologist). Throwing the possibility out there as a possible fact, while completely letting the baggers off the hook for their own racism.

That's something else Right-Wingers love to do without worrying about rebuttals. Look at the banning of ethnic studies in Arizona and the attempted revising of school books in Texas. The media need to call them out on this, ESPECIALLY the progressives in the media.
