I put "Hands across the sand" in the Youtube search engine and look what came up. Way to many to post.

1. And, according to the Hartford newspaper, accomplished NOTHING. All the
people at the beach where the paper covered the "event" utterly ignored the hands-joined folks.

Not to belittle them for trying, but it didn't exactly spark the general poopulace into action, or even into caring. At least not in Connecticut.

(And that's a shame.)

3. It did down here.
Not sure why? Then again it's not their coast under assault.

4. I think that's the problem...
Too many people view the Gulf as being too distant from their shores to feel assaulted.

They should be taking it much more personally.

5. They will in a couple of years when this oil causes havoc on the economy
and their environment.. People are just to uneducated in sciences to understand what ecosystem means or how things work. They probably don't even understand food chain.

6. Less time than that, I'm afraid...
I'm wondering if this couldn't end up being like the Dustbowl days...

7. Worse, people are going to begin to have "Gulf Toxic Syndrom".
The dolphins are dying in the water and breathing the air in the effected region.. What do you think happens to people... People all around me are complaining of sore throats, headaches, "allergies", all kinds of different things that could just be a minor illness or due to the air we are breathing. AND cancer costs lots of money. How much insurance do you think the fishermen carry? Who's going to pay for the medical costs? How do you determine how one got it?

9. I knew nothing about it, until after the event.
Having said that, it doesn't surprise me that the worthless media would ignore the event. Maybe if these people covered themselves in oil and set themselves on fire they might get some attention. Yet, the media follows the Tea Party crowds where ever they go.

10. If they would have included a dozen or so Tea Baggers, the MSM
would have been all over it like white on rice.
