What the media ignored: 25,000 peacefully demonstrate against G20 policies and the Harper government in Toronto

Unlike what you have likely seen on CBC or CTV, this is what the majority of activists were doing on Saturday in Toronto.

But the actual violence and destruction involved in the policies they are protesting get no attention whatsoever.

That the small number of 'protesters' who caused the damage, were clad in black, wore balaclavas, got all the attention, and weren't arrested. They broke windows and torched four police cars, which gave the police some leeway to get all heavy handed. Nothing was stolen, and nothing set on fire except the four vehicles. Gee, now, that's not too suspicious, eh?

This afternoon, one of my favourite barristas was leaving the centre; she told me that the police had advised that she close up, because "there's going to be a riot at 5:00." Nothing suspicious there, either, eh?

Qui bono? Well, now, the Harper government has been trying to paint Toronto as a terrible place in need of judicial reform.....and David Miller got a bunch of toys out of the summit. I'd like to find out where the money for the 'anarchists' came from...that would tell us a great deal.

Toronto is a great place; the trouble came from the police and the black-clad 'anarchists.' It wasn't 'young people' at all; young people would generally cause more looting and difficulty if they were so inclined.

Can you say 'agents provocateurs?'
