These images are even more real and disturbing in full screen 1080p. Using satellites, scientists have been tracking the movement of BP's Deep Water Horizon oil slick as currents have pushed it closer and closer to the Gulf Coast. Now, scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research have used supercomputers to simulate its path in coming months as it moves up the Atlantic seaboard in major ocean currents.

Looks like their pink sand beaches will become black tar beaches.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Hayward had a vacation home there?

3. this is really disturbing and if it is authentic and valid then these seacoast communities
have time to prepare to protect the coast but .. who how what?

4. 60 days X 60,000 barrels per day X 42 gallons per barrel = a futile effort to protect any coast.
...and there's at least another 2 months to go and I am not holding my breath on that either. The amount of oil removed from coastal areas is a mire pittance of what remains. Coastal areas will be bombarded with oil over and over again.
