Basically, the White House took out a provision from the Finance "Reform" bill that passed BOTH the House and Senate. The provision said that shareholders (the actual owners of corporations) could have a say in how much CEOs got paid.

I used to think Obama was just weak but now I realize, he's just serving his corporate masters as he intended to do all along. All those inspiring speeches were nothing but empty words. It was telling that Obama was such a successful fund raiser in 2007, hauling in a lot of donations. Lots of little ones, and lots of corporate dollars. Kucinich and Gravel got hardly a cent of those corporate dollars. They were they ones who were different.
