8. I do not know what more could be asked of Biden than the case he delivered
here.

He took Joe Barton to the tool shed and simultaneously outlined the administration's response to actual people's lives in the Gulf region.

Keep on keeping on, Joe Biden.

19. He was perfect.
I just wish that they would take on the rest of corporate America to mandate that all put people before profits. Honestly, we have bailed out all of the "too big to fails" and they keep screwing us harder. Our government should put aside all of these phony wars (on drugs, on third world countries, etc..) and fight a real war on poverty. Change predatory and off-shoring laws. Reinstate a REAL progressive income tax. One that affects the billionaires much more than the people who earn in excess of $250,000. Just look at what has worked in the past for regular citizens and mandate changes that will put people before profits. I know so many people that are dying because they can not afford health care and can not get state or federal insurance. It is so sad and insane. Take the profit out of the equation. That means the hugely profitable insurance companies. Create programs that will put people to work at a living wage. Work with the Unions, not against them. They are just citizens who have organized to get a fair shake in the work place. Come on Joe, lets take it to the logical next level. Save all Americans, we are all (most anyway) suffering at the hands of these corporate hierarchy's.

think of was that glaring empty seat and the crooked skulduggery it took to make it empty. It was as if that seat was glowing and the rest were dark, empty, filled with only wooden bobble heads with strings to pull to hear some talking points, devoid of even a glimmer of light. I think they moved that empty seat to the right for the reason that all might fix upon it. The only person worthy of that seat except for Helen is Rachel or Keith.

i want to see more of him out there talking to the public about the crisis in the gulf. i feel he connects well with the average american. (not a bash against obama, a great communicator in his own right.)

36. Agreed
They are different types of communicators and Joe can make complex issues understandable to the average person without talking down to him. The White House would be wise to use Joe more. He is very effective and persuasive. He has been wonderful overseas, but the media rarely shows his trips.

27. How much oil money has VP Biden accepted??
I'm not being facetious here, but I posted on U-tube that there is nothing worse than a TX congressman for corruption...and someone informed me that Biden has himself accepted $1.5 million from big oil.

I know we all tend to pull numbers out of our asses...but I'm just curious to know how much oil money has Jolting Joe accepted in the past?

30. Joe Biden is one of the few men who ever came to Congress and lived on his salary forever
Joe Biden may be the only one who ever served that long and never, ever got rich.

Yeah--I think someone with an ax to grind was pulling numbers out his or her ass in order to propagate the meme that all politicians are alike, regardless of party, and all politicians are crooked.

I love ya, Joe, and I love what you're trying to say. But you might want to revisit with some of those small business owners; because I'm pretty sure most of them can't afford to lose 10% of the figures you mentioned.
