Someone remember the Malmedy massacre, where german SS troops killed like 90 american soldiers, because they doesn't have/had the resources to keep them as POWs because of the situation at the front?

I know the Malmedy massacre was not the same as killing civilians in Afghanistan, but It kind of hit me as some of the same, because in the Malmedy massacre, and other massacres by the SS in the West, the american forces was furious to say at least, and after the war, most of the men who was guilty was also been convicted of the action they have had.. Even tho 42 of them got the death penalty, many more got many years behind bars, it was not easy for americans veterans of WW2 to accept that most of them was free before most of the 1950s was over. Mostly because the cold war who was chilly at that time, was given many of the SS soldiers, rank or file a "good clean of health" by the then american american forces, who was more interesting in fighting the soviet fear, than to punish the nazis who had killed their own forces....
If this is true, that american soldiers is murdering afghan civilians, because they are not Talibans, and because they have ID them, then it would end up in a big ugly mess.. Not just for US, but for NATO also, who have been there for many year now, and have given in a lot of resources, who for the most case should have been used home in their own back yard if you accept my french... It is a reason Afghanistan over the last 2500 year have been called the graveyard of empires.. They have flighted most empires, from Alexander the Great, to the Soviets in the 1980s... And even tho Alexander managed to keep Afghanistan in check, it was with a high price, that no one want to copy today.. Whole City's was burn to the ground, the civilians was either sold as slaves, in the rest of the Hellenic world, or slaughtered as sheeps... I doubt that the US have the will, or want to use the tactic that Alexander was using in Afghanistan... For Afghanistan's, the US and NATO forces are just the last of many empires who have tried really hard to get them into line, and they will fight NATO and US forces, as they have Fourth all other empires the last couple of thousands of years. And for the most part won too, even when the price was high.. Even the Mongols, who was tuff as rock them self, was in trouble when they was going into Afghanistan..
If this is true, we are all in deep problems, because if this is true, it would say that american soldiers is murdering civilians, without a trial, without a cort hearing, without the Civilians right to defend them self against slender and lies.. And the soldiers who do this, are doing criminal actions, who should have been addressed by their superiors.. Up to Commander in Chief, Barack H. Obama who have the last say of this... If this is true, then american soldiers are doing war criminal activity, who can end up in trials... Where soldiers can be convicted, and face long prison terms..
Remember, US ARE already convinced of war crimes by the International Criminal Court in Haag.. In 1988 a american soldier was sentences to many year behind bars, because he was action way out of line, and doing war crimes.. He have never been into a prison tho - but is barred for ever set foot in Europe because there the police is still waiting for arresting him for the crimes he was convicted on...
Sy Hersh have not been wrong of other things he had come with, so I would not doubt for a second, that he might also have been right of this too...
